Best of Media group is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong technical background and track record of successful project delivery to assume a leadership role in the company. You will work closely with managers and individual contributors in both the engineering and business organizations to define, plan, deliver and the release schedule across multiple countries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work and manage across reporting boundaries to build coordinated execution plans involving cross-functional teams. Author and manage project plans, drive definition of deliverables, milestones and dependencies. Coordinate project releases across all functional activities.Inspire all parties to work towards common goals. Take responsibility for meeting targets dates and final product delivery.
* Set and manage realistic expectations, identify and manage risks, ensure early adjustment and intervention for critical path issues. Communicate status and progress to key stakeholders throughout the company and serve as single point of contact for all project status items.
* Codify factors relevant to user satisfaction in specific international deployments. Assess existing tools and/or specify required tools and data flow processes to collect and editorialize cultural data. Determine staffing resources needed to maintain data collection processes and drive the communication, staffing and training of these resource needs. Translate cultural and functional requirements into engineering ones and be able to act as initial QA to spot check results from engineering iterations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Deep understanding of Agile project management, specially SCRUM with principles including dependency identification, critical path analysis, contingency planning and trade-off analysis between time, quality, and cost.
* Proven ability to develop and execute on detailed plans for complex projects that involve challenging requirements, multiple office locations and hard deadlines.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills. The ability to build relationships and collaborate with variety of personalities and styles in multiple cultures operating under potentially different delivery agendas.
* Engineering background is necessary , should be completely comfortable with technical concepts and jargon and essential software design principles.
* High expertise with Project Management tools, Scrum tool, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Visio, Windows programs, the Internet, search engines and browsers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree required.
* At least 4-5 years managing software or web development projects.
